Where is my "Murano Glass Jewelry" made??

Last month we did a blog on genuine versus knock-off Murano Glass Jewelry and identified for our readers a few ways to determine whether you were getting the real thing. We're sure most of our readers have also been dismayed by a purchase they have completed, received their item, turned it over and found that little sticker that says "Made in ........."; usually not a place you assumed it came from. Well, here are a few other pointers to make sure you get what you're looking for. They take a couple of minutes of searching, but well worth it when you consider the quality and history of Murano Glass.

A simple query on a search engine will amaze you with the results you find. An extremely popular type of beads (can't name them for obvious reasons - but if you search, you'll find them) claims to offer Murano Beads and Murano Jewelry. The simple question I asked in a popular search engine was "where does..........import their beads from?. And, unless Venice has moved to China, you are not getting the real deal. This company pays $.07 per bead and can get Murano Glass pendants for $.34 each in bulk. The unfortunate thing is you are going to pay the same price (or more) for "Murano Glass Jewelry" imported from China that you are being charged by reputable dealers on the internet. As the saying goes - buyer beware....

So, ask yourself the question, would you rather pay $20.00 for a piece of true Murano Glass Jewelry handmade and imported from Italy? Or would you prefer to pay the same price for the same thing that has been mass produced in China. I would say that's a pretty simple question...

We are currently having an inventory sale and urge you to visit our website at www.caterinaarado.com. Savings are from 10% to 50% off regular prices. Now that you are finished buying gifts for everyone else, it's time to treat yourself.
